New location is beautiful and much better laid out than the previous location at the Americana. Very elegant dining area. Food always fantastic. I enjoy watching the people making all the dim sum. Can't imagine how many they have to make to feed the crowd that come through everyday. Don't think it's ever not been busy!

I planned a birthday dinner here and the food is always good. It was my first time at this new location. It is much bigger and nicer than the old one. Very trendy and modern ambiance. The food is still just as good though! Did you know you can make reservations through google! Sometimes the wait can be long. The waiter was good and attentive. I love ordering the boba honey lemonade. The soup dumplings is another favorite. I tried the kimchi dumplings for the first time and they are good and tangy. Every one shared everything and we were all satisfied. Definitely coming back!

Who doesn't love dumplings? And Din Tai Fung supposedly has some of the best. So I decided to try them during lunch one Friday. Even then, they were super crowded though. It was also a little confusing because I was by myself and thought I could just sit at the bar, but you still have to check-in with the hostess at the front, even to be seated at the bar. So just an FYI. I was greeted at the bar where I was asked if I had been before. Since I hadn't been, the bartender explained the sauces/oils and how to eat the dumplings. I thought that was nice, but kind of unnecessary. It seemed pretentious somehow. These may be gourmet dumplings, but they're still dumplings. Everything seemed pretty expensive and it felt like they were nickel and diming you for everything. Like who charges $8 for a tiny cucumber salad? Insane. I only ended up ordering the chicken xiao long bao and vegan buns. It is fun to see the chefs making the dumplings on the side of the restaurant and then get to eat them. They tasted fresh and delicious. Loved the vegan buns as well. Great amount of filling. Sometimes those big bao buns are mostly bun but these were substantial. The food was definitely tasty, although I do think it's a bit pricey for what it is. It's a bit hyped up. But I would still go back with my husband or a friend group. The ambiance is really nice, especially in the middle of a mall. The outdoor seating in the back is lovely as well. Plus literally every staff member I encountered was so nice, I can't complain. So, props to them for a pleasant experience.

Big fan of the spicy wontons. The soup dumplings arrived at the perfect temperature to eat. The decor was very modern, clean, and intimate. Great for gatherings with friends and family. The best part of this experience was the service. Sam B. went above and beyond to make sure our table was well taken care of. He explained the menu clearly, made sure that the food and water were prompt, and most importantly was very welcoming. He left such a positive impact on our visit that I felt inclined to take a moment to leave a good review. This is what defines service excellence. Today this location earned a returning customer. I will be back.

Excellent Din Tai Fung location. I have been to the one in the Bay Area, and I prefer this one in ambience and quality of food. Everything was made to perfection, and the service was very friendly and prompt. Though this location is a little bit louder than anticipated, my company and I could still hear each other. Excellent kurobuta soup dumplings, spicy chicken wontons, green beans, and black sesame dessert dumplings. I'll be back for sure!

Tried DTF in L.A. and ordered new food! Here's what we got: Honey Milk Tea, Chicken Fried Rice, Chicken Wonton, Noodles with Minced Pork, Chicken XLB and Shrimp/Pork Shao Mai. The Chicken Fried Rice and Noodles were SO GOOD!! The Shrimp/Pork Shao Mai were pan fried and seasoned well. Definitely recommend getting these dishes if you go!

UPGRADED REVIEW ================ My son and I had lunch at the new location at the Galleria on Friday, May 17, 2024, and it was great. First of all I would have to say I should have upgraded my review long before now because the past few visits at the Americana were good. Today Penelope was our server and she was great from the beginning to end. We loved the baby back sweet and sour ribs, dumplings and seaweed tofu. We sat on the big patio which was really nice.

Love love love their new location! Absolutely gorgeous and now located inside the mall. We saw it under construction a while back and wasn't sure if the one outside by the Galleria was closing or if they were literally making two. But alas, they moved to be inside the ball, not sure why but at least it's basically still in the same spot! This place always looks beautiful but the reconstruction of this new one is incredible. It totally takes you to a whole new world. We've lately been going for special occasions like valentines or anniversary but also like to treat our first timer friends here! Shout out to Jazelle for being such a sweetheart. She made our anniversary lunch such a great experience AND she was a Pokémon fan because she complimented our matching Ditto outfits!! I can never get tired of this place. We always order the same food and it's always such a treat! -Sautéed garlic green beans -Pork Xiao Long Bao -Fried Rice -Spicy Noodles -Milk Tea Boba -Chocolate bao with salted cream for dessert I promise you, these are by far the best soup dumplings I've ever had. The perfect bite size and dipping sauce which is so simple! Soy sauce, black vinegar, and ginger. Perfect! We love it so much that we started making the sauce at home for some frozen dumplings lol. Definitely worth the visit and money for this place!! IG: @ammysalamii

For my third Mother's Day celebration, my family brought me to Din Tai Fung. We've dined a few times at this new, larger location inside the Galleria. We especially enjoy the outdoor seating. Although there may be an occasional disruption from a passing motorcycle or car, we find it better than the constant noise inside. At this visit, we were seated in a quiet corner furthest away from the street which was even nicer. We ordered our usuals. Always freshly made and so, so delicious! Our server was Eugene. He paced out our orders perfectly, cleared our table as we ate and kept our drinks refilled. He was perfect!
